It moves teeth faster.

It’s more structured.

It’s more stable.

It’s nearly painless.

It’s clear.

This is Invisalign. With an all-new material for Invisalign since 2011, the technology is even better than before. And it was already a superior technology.

So, how does it work? How can Invisalign be faster and much less painful than traditional braces?

The Movement

The movement is dictated by the plastic, not brackets and wires. We call it rocket science. There’s simply a lot of complexity when it comes to moving teeth properly with brackets and wires. On the other hand, Invisalign’s plastic design puts the pressure exactly where it needs to be. We call this goldilocks pressure. It’s not too much, or too little; it’s just right. The teeth are moving the arch alveolar housing.

The Speed

The average Invisalign treatment at Shemen Dental takes a total of 12-14 months. This is a far more speedy process than traditional braces, where 24 months is the expectation for a normal case. Sometimes, the process with traditional braces can be much longer.

The Process

Using a series of custom-made aligners created for you and only you, Invisalign is the ultimate customizable aligning technology. It starts at Shemen Dental with a physical impression of your teeth, and then a digital scan used to create a 3D model. Once the data from the model is transferred to our dental team, it’s used to create a dental plan based on the prescription of the dentist. The data from the plan then is sent to the plant where each aligner is custom fabricated for each patient.

You’ll receive a series of aligners to change at home every 2 weeks. Then you’ll visit the office every 2 months usually.
